We Adore You

from Sketchbook by David Woodman

/

about

This started as an attempt to write a Christmas song, from the perspective of the shepherds and wise men - those who came to worship the Messiah, but it didn't turn out that way.

lyrics

Worthy is the Lamb,
Jesus Christ the King.
We have come before you now
and with one voice, we sing:

"We adore you, King of Heaven.
We adore you, O Lamb of God.
We adore you, our Redeemer.
We adore you, Emmanuel."

Hear our praises rise,
humbled by your grace,
longing for the moment when
we see you, face-to-face.

We adore you, King of Heaven.
We adore you, O Lamb of God.
We adore you, our Redeemer.
We adore you, Emmanuel.

Hallelujah!
Glory to your name,
Name above all names.
Worthy is the Lamb.
Creation longs to sing
"Worthy is the Lamb!"

We adore you, King of Heaven.
We adore you, O Lamb of God.
We adore you, our Redeemer.
We adore you, Emmanuel.
