Every Ocean

from Sketchbook by David Woodman

/

about

This was written in 2005, inspired by the words of Ronnie Fernihough, a fantastic man of faith who is now sorting out the road crew in heaven. Miss you, mate.

lyrics

Every ocean, every sea,
Every river, every stream,
Every fountain, every lake
Starts with little drops of rain.

Can it rain down love on these streets again,
Breathing life into the land?
Will we join together, heart and soul?
Will it rain, will it rain?
Lord, will it rain?

Every stranger made a friend,
Every broken heart you mend,
Every blessing from above
Starts with simple acts of love.

Let it rain down love on these streets again,
Breathing life into the land.
As we join together, heart and soul.
Let it rain, let it rain.
Lord, let it rain.

Fill an ocean, drop by drop.
Take a journey, step by step.
Change a city, heart to heart.
It can start today,
It can start with us.
