The King of Love My Shepherd is an 1868 hymn with lyrics written by Henry Baker, based on the Welsh version of Psalm 23 and the work of Edmund Prys. Apparently Henry Baker's last words were some of these lyrics, and that's not a bad way to go.
lyrics
Verse 1:
The King of Love My Shepherd Is
Whose goodness fails me never;
I nothing lack if I am his
And he is mine forever.
Where streams of living water flow,
A ransomed soul he leads me
And, where the verdant pastures grow,
With food from heaven feeds me.
Perverse and foolish I have strayed,
But in his love he sought me
And on his shoulder gently laid
And home rejoicing brought me.
In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With you, dear Lord, beside me,
Your rod and staff my comfort still,
Your cross before to guide me.
You spread a banquet in my sight
Of love beyond all knowing;
And, oh, what gladness and delight
From your pure chalice flowing!
And so through all the length of days
Your goodness fails me never.
Good Shepherd, may I sing your praise
Within your house forever.

I suppose I am slightly biased as it is my very talented and lovely Son Andy Green and wonderful friend Dave Woodman who have made this fabulous album together.
However, despite this I love the unique sound of the dulcimer and the beautiful music so divinely put together creating an album that I will play often to soothe and thrill me when I need it most. Thank you . Linda Bond
