The book of Isaiah talks about God's people finding treasure in darkness and receiving beauty from ashes - which of course means that we will inevitably experience dark times. No-one is immune.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Listen to my prayer, O God
Hear my cry and answer me.
I'm troubled by my anxious thoughts
Overwhelmed by fear of what could be
But I know that my Redeemer lives

Chorus:

Split the dark with your heavenly light
So I can glimpse eternity.
Verse 2:
Father, will you lift my head,
Loving God, deliver me.
I'm tired from this desperate fight,
Longing for your hand to rescue me.
I cast my cares on you, my Rock
For you are my sustainer.
Bridge:
You promise beauty from these ashes,
Diamonds in the dust,
Treasure in the darkness, so I will dare to trust.
There is hope here for the hopeless,
Strength when I am weak.
Father, in your mercy, give me eyes to see

I suppose I am slightly biased as it is my very talented and lovely Son Andy Green and wonderful friend Dave Woodman who have made this fabulous album together.
However, despite this I love the unique sound of the dulcimer and the beautiful music so divinely put together creating an album that I will play often to soothe and thrill me when I need it most. Thank you . Linda Bond
