Holy, Holy, Holy was written by Reginald Heber (1783–1826). It's one of my favourites as it has such a clear Trinitarian theme.
This arrangement gave me a chance to dust off my banjo and brush up on my mandolin skills - thanks to my son, Matt for the loan of his mandolin.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song of praise shall be
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Verse 2:
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore you,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before you.
You were and are and evermore shall be.
Verse 3:
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hides you,
Though the eye made blind by sin, your glory may not see,
Only you are holy; there is none besides you,
perfect in power, in love, and purity.
Verse 4:
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All your works shall praise your name,
in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
You are God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

I suppose I am slightly biased as it is my very talented and lovely Son Andy Green and wonderful friend Dave Woodman who have made this fabulous album together.
However, despite this I love the unique sound of the dulcimer and the beautiful music so divinely put together creating an album that I will play often to soothe and thrill me when I need it most. Thank you . Linda Bond
