My arrangement combines 2 hymns that often share the same melody: Old Hundreth, written in 1551 by French composer, Louis Bourgeois.
All People That on Earth Do Dwell was written by William Kethe and is surely one of the oldest songs still widely sung in churches worldwide. Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow (or the Doxology) was written by Thomas Ken (1637-1711).
lyrics
Verse 1:
All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
Serve him with joy, his praises tell,
Come now before him and rejoice.
Verse 2:
Know that the Lord is God indeed;
He formed us all without our aid
We are the flock he loves to feed,
The sheep, who by his hand are made.
Amen, amen (Repeat)
Verse 3:
O enter then his gates with praise,
And in his courts, his love proclaim;
Give thanks and bless him, all your days;
Let every tongue confess his name.
Verse 4:
Know that the Lord our God is good,
His mercy is forever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure.
Amen, Amen (Repeat)
Verse 5:
Praise God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit evermore;
All praise to God, the Three-in-One,
Let heaven rejoice and earth adore.
Verse 6:
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow,
Praise him, all creatures here below,
Praise him above, you heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen, Amen (Repeat)

I suppose I am slightly biased as it is my very talented and lovely Son Andy Green and wonderful friend Dave Woodman who have made this fabulous album together.
However, despite this I love the unique sound of the dulcimer and the beautiful music so divinely put together creating an album that I will play often to soothe and thrill me when I need it most. Thank you . Linda Bond
