Verse 1: O Lord my God when I in awesome wonder, Consider all the works Thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Chorus: Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, How great Thou art, how great Thou art! Verse 2: When through the woods and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur, And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze. Verse 3: And when I think that God His son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in. That on the cross my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Verse 4: When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation, And takes me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then shall I bow in humble adoration, And there proclaim, my God how great Thou art. Verse 1: All people that on earth do dwell, Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice. Serve him with joy, his praises tell, Come now before him and rejoice. Verse 2: Know that the Lord is God indeed; He formed us all without our aid We are the flock he loves to feed, The sheep, who by his hand are made. Amen, amen (Repeat) Verse 3: O enter then his gates with praise, And in his courts, his love proclaim; Give thanks and bless him, all your days; Let every tongue confess his name. Verse 4: Know that the Lord our God is good, His mercy is forever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, And shall from age to age endure. Amen, Amen (Repeat) Verse 5: Praise God the Father, God the Son, And God the Spirit evermore; All praise to God, the Three-in-One, Let heaven rejoice and earth adore. Verse 6: Praise God, from whom all blessings flow, Praise him, all creatures here below, Praise him above, you heavenly host, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen, Amen (Repeat)

Verse 1: Teach me, my God and King, in all things to see you, in everything I do today to do it as for you. Verse 2: A servant with this choice makes drudgery divine. The smallest thing done for your praise transforms into something fine. Chorus 1: Breath of God, breathe on me. May my life reflect your light, O Prince of Peace. Verse 3: Open my eyes to see your gracious hand at play, that I may look beyond this earth, see heav’n at work today. Verse 4: This is my joyous hope, a wonder to behold, that when I give you all I have you turn my dust to gold. Chorus 2: Breath of God, breathe on me. May my life reflect your light, O Prince of Peace Living Word, speak through me. Every day a love song of a soul set free.

Verse 1: Oh, the blood of Jesus, Oh, the blood of Jesus, Oh, the blood of Jesus, it washes white as snow. Verse 2: Oh, the words of Jesus, (x3) Speak life to every soul. Verse 3: Oh, the truth of Jesus, (x3) It shines like precious gold. Verse 4: Oh, the love of Jesus, (x3) It makes the wounded whole.
5.
Verse 1: The King of Love My Shepherd Is Whose goodness fails me never; I nothing lack if I am his And he is mine forever. Where streams of living water flow, A ransomed soul he leads me And, where the verdant pastures grow, With food from heaven feeds me. Perverse and foolish I have strayed, But in his love he sought me And on his shoulder gently laid And home rejoicing brought me. In death’s dark vale I fear no ill With you, dear Lord, beside me, Your rod and staff my comfort still, Your cross before to guide me. You spread a banquet in my sight Of love beyond all knowing; And, oh, what gladness and delight From your pure chalice flowing! And so through all the length of days Your goodness fails me never. Good Shepherd, may I sing your praise Within your house forever.
6.
Verse 1: Here is love, vast as the ocean, Loving-kindness as the flood; When the Prince of Life, our ransom. Shed for us His precious blood. Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He can never be forgotten Throughout heaven's eternal days. Verse 2: On the mount of crucifixion, Fountains opened deep and wide. Through the floodgates of God's mercy, Flowed a vast & gracious tide. Grace and love, like mighty rivers, Poured incessant from above. Heav'n's peace and perfect justice, Kissed a guilty world in love. Verse 3: Let me, all Your love accepting, Love You, ever all my days. Let me seek Your kingdom only, And my life be to Your praise. You alone shall be my glory, Nothing in this world I see. You have cleansed and sanctified me, You alone have set me free. Verse 4: In Your truth you will direct me, By Your Spirit, through Your word, And Your grace my need is meeting, As I trust in You, my Lord. From your fullness You are pouring, Your great love and power in me; Without measure, full and boundless, Such a wondrous mystery. Coda: Amazing love, That You would give Your life to save us. Unending love, Flowing from Your heart forevermore. (repeat)
7.
Verse 1: Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song of praise shall be Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty, God in three persons, blessed Trinity! Verse 2: Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore you, Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea; Cherubim and seraphim falling down before you. You were and are and evermore shall be. Verse 3: Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hides you, Though the eye made blind by sin, your glory may not see, Only you are holy; there is none besides you, perfect in power, in love, and purity. Verse 4: Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All your works shall praise your name, in earth and sky and sea; Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty, God in three persons, blessed Trinity! You are God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
8.
Verse 1: Come let us sing of a wonderful love, tender and true, out of the heart of the Father above, streaming to me and to you. Wonderful love, dwells in the heart of the Father above. Verse 2: Jesus, the Saviour, this gospel to tell, joyfully came, came with the helpless and hopeless to dwell, sharing their sorrow and shame, seeking the lost, saving, redeeming at measureless cost. Verse 3: Jesus is seeking the wanderers yet; why do they roam? Love only waits to forgive and forget; home, weary wanderers, home! Wonderful love, dwells in the heart of the Father above. Verse 4: Come to my heart, O thou wonderful love! Come and abide, lifting my life till it rises above envy and falsehood and pride, seeking to be, lowly and humble, a learner of thee. Coda: Wonderful love (Repeat)
9.
Verse 1: When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. Verse 2: Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God! All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood. Verse 3: See from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Verse 4: Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were an offering far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all. Coda: You can have it all, All, Have it all, All!
10.
Verse 1: Take my life and let it be All that you, Lord want for me. Take my moments and my days; let them flow in endless praise. Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of your love. Take my voice and let me sing always, only, for my King. Chorus: All for you, Jesus, all for you. Each precious day you give I'll make a song of praise. Take this life, I lay it at your feet. Everything I have and all I'll ever be, I give it all to you. Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use every power as you choose. Take my will, I choose your way; Out of love I will obey. Take my heart it is your own; it shall be your royal throne,

about

I've always tried to rearrange classic hymns to help modern worshippers relate and connect with their amazing lyrics. I've often been asked to release my versions and I'm thrilled to be able to do that now.

Here’s a review of the album:

The making of David Woodman’s latest album was very much a labour of love for the Manchester-based singer/songwriter who has taken some of his favourite hymns and recorded them in reverent and faithful fashion. Refreshingly, in this day and age of worship artists substituting the matchless melodies of old hymns with something far inferior,

Woodman stays unwaveringly true to the original tunes to allow the wonderful theology-packed words of chestnuts like “When I Survey”, “Holy Holy Holy” and “Teach Me My God And King” to take centrestage. Woodman delivers a fairly low key vocal performance to further take the spotlight away from himself and his decision to be surrounded by a group of communal singers makes it feel like you’re standing in a church which has a really good praise band, a tuneful congregation and that one person (Woodman) standing near you who you suspect might do a bit of singing on the side. Musically, all involved keep things straightforward and upbeat with little deviation from the manuscript but nice touches such as a hammered dulcimer on “How Great Thou Art”, Woodman’s fine electric slide playing on “O The Blood Of Jesus” and a Celtic-tinged rendition of “The King Of Love” add the necessary spice to this respectful offering.
